We are delivering over £10m of work within the Inverclyde region, of which almost £8m is for Inverclyde Council.

The first project we are delivering for Inverclyde Council is the £3.5m design and build of a two-storey building on Pottery Street to provide new vehicle maintenance facilities, ancillary accommodation and offices for the council. The building will be steel framed with a mezzanine floor to house the required office space, meeting rooms and ICT room.

The second is the £2.3m refurbishment of the Category B listed Former Police Court in Greenock which involves the removal of the interior of the structure to leave the existing external shell. Due to the age of the building we will also eradicate rot and take measures to stop the spreading of rot to the adjoining structures. The interior of the building will then be refurbished to provide office accommodation for Inverclyde Council’s Property Assets and Facilities Management section.

The final project we are delivering for the council is the £1.8m refurbishment of the Category B listed Former Educational HQ which is located beside our site at the Former Police Court. This project involves the internal and external refurbishment of the building to provide new modern office accommodation for the council’s Environmental Services Section and the works comprise of rot eradication, roofing works, conservation works and internal decoration works.

In addition, we are constructing a new Lidl Store in Greenock. The previous store was demolished to make way for the bigger store, with a sales area of over 1,400m2, which is scheduled for completion in October 2016.

These new projects add to the £9m of work we have already completed within Inverclyde over the past 3 years for clients including IBM, HC One, James Watt College, Inverclyde Council and Riverside Inverclyde. Recently completed projects have included the £1.5m design and build of two industrial units at Kelburn Industrial Development in Port Glasgow for Riverside Inverclyde and the £1.2m refurbishment of Oakmall Shopping Centre in Greenock.

We also completed 3 phases of work at the A listed Custom House, totalling £2.35m where we carried out demolitions and downtakings to provide new room layouts followed by refurbishment works. The external refurbishment of the building involved sandstone repairs and remedial works.
