CC Dalmarnock Purifier Finals-2

The former Dalmarnock Purifier Studios, now branded as EastWorks has been awarded the Refurbished/Recycled workplace award at the prestigious British Council for Offices (BCO) Awards 2024.

The 120-year-old former purifier shed, owned by Clyde Gateway, underwent a £9m transformation, designed by Sheppard Robson and INCH Architecture and Design, which was delivered by Clark Contracts. The multi-million pound investment has transformed the space, creating new contemporary office units.

The award was presented during the annual Scottish awards lunch within The Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow on Friday 26th April.

This new office space provides over 30,000 sq.ft. of modern office space, subdivided into five standalone business studios.

The Victorian listed facade was sympathetically preserved, with the protective coatings on the cast iron and steel frames all replaced and the brickwork conserved. The building has a new roof and has been restored into one of the city’s most striking new business locations.

Michael Scanlan, Director, Clark Contracts said, “We are delighted that the works at EastWorks have been recognised in these prestigious awards. This major refurbishment project has made a huge contribution towards the overall regeneration of Dalmarnock and will benefit many businesses in the years to come.”
