We aim to support communities by employing and supporting young people through structured training and development, vocational training schemes and also on a part time basis where we fund the College and University courses. These opportunities extend from trade operative positions through to degree positions.
At present we have staff from our administration, construction management, quantity surveying and estimating departments who are attending University or College.
We are continually working with local development agencies to train new entrants or unemployed workers in the industry by offering work experience placements to help support the local community and enhance the skills within our Company.
As part of our “Skills Based Work Academy” in partnership with the Department of Work and Pensions, Clark Contracts aim to provide a 6 weeks work experience / training placement for local people on as many contracts as possible.
We are a proud member of The 5% Club, a campaign focused on creating momentum behind the recruitment of apprentices and graduates into the UK workforce. By joining the club, we have committed to the aim of ensuring that 5% of our UK workforce are apprentices, graduates or sponsored students on structured programmes within the next five years.
