Schools Contract For Clark Contracts

16 November 2009

The extension of two West Lothian schools is the subject of a new £876,000 contract awarded to Clark Contracts by West Lothian Council.

The single contract involves extending both St Kentigerns Academy in Blackburn and James Young High School in Livingston to create new changing blocks.

Work on both sites is due for completion by March 2010.

Clark Contracts has previously undertaken work for West Lothian Council on three other schools in the area.

Bill Plummer, (Design Manager), West Lothian Council said: “We have previous good experience of working with Clark Contracts and this coupled with their competitive price meant we were pleased to appoint them to undertake these important projects.”

Gordon Cunningham, Managing Director, Clark Contracts said: “We are delighted to have been awarded this contract. We have extensive experience of working in a live school environment and believe we know what is required to ensure that both schools operate safely through the duration of our works.”
